MECC: Mechanical Carbon Conversion
XFuel’s Mechanical Carbon Conversion is a unique co-processing of waste solid biomass and oils into drop-in fuels and biochar, with the addition of carbon credits. A single process with three benefits, the MECC is a carbon negative process whilst providing carbine avoidance and removal benefits. The modular nature of our design allows for MECC plants to be built in strategic locations, with close proximity to feedstock supply or fuel delivery locations.

What goes in the MECC?
A range of waste solid biomass from the agriculture, forestry, and manufacturing industries; as well as waste oils whether they be of fossil or biogenic origins.
What goes out the MECC?
Sustainable drop-in bio & recycled fuels for marine, road and aviation sectors with blended certified; as well as biochar used in agriculture and industrial applications such as a concrete additive, avoiding its release into the atmosphere
